Interesting...

So Laura and I were meeting with a couple starting a church in the East End of Glasgow this evening. We were half way through our meal when a couple of men at the table in front of us stood up and left. The first man walked past and growled,"Embarrassing religion." The second man (I think it may have been his partner) came up to us and said," Excuse me, you're talking loudly about religion, and it's making people around here uncomfortable." He then walked away. The really interesting part was that we were basically talking shop-nothing really very spiritual about our conversation. The other interesting thing is that the music was really loud, so I'm not entirely sure how they could have heard us. Was it an attack? Or did something we say hit too close to home? I can definitely say that after living for four years here in Glasgow, I have had many spiritual conversations in public and this is the first time this has happened.
